Team Selection Process

Selection for the county team is finalised about one month before the event in question, though inevitably some last minute adjustments may need to occur.

Senior Team

Places are allocated as follows:-

1. Winner of the Yorkshire senior event
2. National Rankings where fencers are ranked within the top 100 for men or top 50 for the womens events
3. If no-one is nationally ranked for a weapon then the committee reserve the right to select according to past form

Cadet Team

Places are allocated as follows:-

1. National Cadet Ranking & Junior Rankings
2. Yorkshire Youth League Rankings
3. Performance in the Yorkshire Youth Championships (BYC Qualifers)
